Evaluating Program Success

Once you have identified the challenges Opportunity Youth face and your capacity as an organization (or your role), the next step is to define with young adults metrics of success that support the achievement of their success.

Evaluation should tell you—clearly—whether your program is making a difference for young adults and how to improve next. This module focuses on measuring what matters to young people and to your organization: participation and completion, skill growth, job/education outcomes, and the quality of relationships and support. It blends credible metrics with youth voice so results are useful for daily management, accountability, and learning—not just for reports.

This module is designed for organizations and employers who want to turn data into action. You’ll learn how to track meaningful progress, measure outcomes that matter to young adults, and use insights to strengthen programs. By the end, your team will be able to make decisions based on evidence, highlight successes, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure that your work truly supports young adults on their path to success.
